Snel protects the environment

We have always put people at the heart of what we do but we never lose sight of the need to protect the environment as evidenced by:

  • Snel has been awarded the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody (certificate n° SGS-COC-004274)
  • Snel has also been awarded the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC) Chain of Custody (certificate n° SGS-PEFC-COC-0345)
  • A vision of printing which encompasses sustainable management of the planet’s resources. (If you would like more information about certified paper, we will be happy to oblige)
  • Use of vegetable-based inks and solvent-free glue
  • Recycling of used plates and ink containers
  • Vacuum-removal of paper waste for compacting and recycling by approved organisations, before being fed back into the paper manufacturing cycle
  • Recovery of the hot air produced by machines for heating the workshop.
