SNEL: OUR HISTORY
Early 90
Flavio De Beni, the founder of the GAM Grafic photo-engravers in Herstal, and Roland Soubras, the owner of the RS photo-engravers in Wandre, join forcess.
1995
They take over the Société des Nouvelles Éditions Liégeoises, which is abbreviated as SNEL. It is a period of modernisation: new machines, polychromy and the modernisation of pre-press activities. Being left behind is out of the question !
Late 90s
The first CtP (Computer to Plate) débuts in the workshop. SNEL also acquires a finishing department, in order to ensure the entire production process in-house.
2001
Three new printing presses complete the fleet of machinery.
2006
SNEL moves to the Hauts-Sarts industrial area. It is a new building for a new era: thanks to its surface area of 10,700 m2, the printing press doubles its production capacity for printing, and triples it for finishing and binding. It acquires new printing presses, which allow it to print on both sides in 8 colours and in large format.
2011
Digital printing is added to SNEL’s service offerings.
2015
Flavio De Beni starts to take a back seat and passes the torch to his son, Stephane De Beni, who had joined in 1997 to take over.
2016
Despite the crisis experienced in the graphics industry, SNEL aims to keep advancing and invests in two new state-of-the-art printing presses.
